Total lack of professionalism. For a journalist ("executive editor") such behavior is career-hurting. For someone in PR ("communications specialist") it is career-ending. I will come off sounding misogynistic here, but more times than not I have to put the blame at the foot of the woman. The guy comes after the woman for a date, it's her place to either say this will interfere with our business relationship or it's at least something we should reveal if it gets serious. If she's going after him, well, the one area women are employed more often than men is PR and people in those types of positions should know better.

I understand that all of this falls under the umbrella of larger issues, I'm just commenting on this particular incident. My father was a politician for many years and before that he worked as a PR liaison for many more. I have my own opinions about how f'd the system is in that regard but I also know the realities of how people behave. You simply can't be expecting others to take you seriously on the one hand while completing ignoring the duties that come with the position on the other.

I agree PCG should not have had him working on Ubi content. On the other hand this is video games. Big. Fucking. Deal. It's really not that important.

Videogames make more money than movies. You bet this is a big deal, when billions of dollars are involved, and everyone turns a blind eye...

I have a conflict with both PC GAMER and Ubisoft, not sure which one I hate the most! I wish they'd hurry up and collapse

Yeah. Now don't get me wrong, love is a great thing, but the guy should separate himself from Ubisoft related stuff. Real journalists do that sort of thing all the time.

They aren't journalists however, they're advertisement salespeople. You want real reviews, go to Youtube and see stuff by Worth a Buy, Angry Joe Show, or Total Biscuit, not these paid off magazines.

Not even close.

This idea is the result of a misguided comparison of an entire industry and all its ancillary revenues (GLOBAL video game sales, hardware (consoles), hardcore / casual, DLC, MMO subscriptions, microtransactions etc. etc.) and a single subset of another industry (North American box office revenue).
