I always prefer reviews that break it down into categories, like Graphics, game-play and story. I think it encourages the reviewer to look at the game more objectively, and helps the reader separate out the components that matter to them. If a reviewer is forced to recognize that other components of a game are well implemented they may be less likely to give the game a low score because all the female characters are carrying around a pair of award winning watermelons. Basically forcing the reviewer to look at other aspects of the game than focus solely on one component.
