Reminds me of this Twilight Zone episode:

Come to think of it, nearly everything reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode. Such a prophetic show in so many ways.

Perhaps let it park in the Employee of the Month spot?

So if half of all workers are replaced by robots in the coming decade what does that mean for the economy? Who's going to buy shit when they have no money?

First I've read about this, although it's so obvious that I've come up with the same idea myself daydreaming about the future. It's interesting that hours worked only 5% when such a system was implemented. Given how much overwork Americans do, that's not a bad thing. And it's well known that an economy with a flatter income distribution is a stronger, more vibrant one since money is in the hands of people that must spend it. I can't see this becoming law in my lifetime, but I never thought I'd see a black president or comprehensive healthcare reform in my lifetime either.

Thanks for linking the autism story, Blue.

It's so rare to find articles that focus on solutions rather than the problems.

Just pass a law saying no one can work more than three days a week.

Everybody gets to work in the service and healthcare industries taking care of retired robots.

They should have a ceremony and give it an award in front of all the "human" workers. That would be grand.
