On November 13, millions of Azeroth’s champions enlisted for the war against the Iron Horde with the launch of World of Warcraft®: Warlords of Draenor™, the fifth expansion to the world’s #1 subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game.* Blizzard Entertainment today announced that as of the first 24 hours of the expansion’s availability, more than 3.3 million copies had sold-through† and the game’s global subscriber base had passed 10 million, with growth across all major regions.
The release last week in North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia brought some technical and demand-related issues that made the first few days especially challenging for many players. To address the issues, Blizzard worked around the clock to roll out a series of updates and increase realm capacity across the board, and performance has remained solid since then. The expansion launched today (November 20 local time) in South Korea, mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good.
Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad.
Yes it does.
Nah.
Besides, if it did mean it, then alcohol is bad, any meat that isn't well done is bad, any car faster than mine is bad, and anyone who doesn't agree with me is bad.
Now you're getting to the heart of the naysayer...

What is the opposite of ADHD?
Whatever that is, some of these wow players have it. To have the ability to play that game for so long almost exclusively is a trait I do not have. I know a couple.
I'm finding a lot of SP games too long for their own good, repetitive mechanic syndrome drops in, the my ADHD starts buzzin and I'm looking for something else.
Imagine logging in every day and talking to the same 50 people in your guild. You get to know them, hang out and do fun stuff together. There's always new loot to work towards, new raids and events in the world
It's the social aspect that keep a lot of players playing. You don't want to miss raid days because you don't want to let your guild mates down.

Marketing 101 - assignment: your company overbooked massively an event. 80% of the paying customers could not get in for three days, until a quarter to a third of them gave up, at which time the rest could then access the content. Spin this to make your company look good.
WOW is still the best MMO ever, but, this roll out was a fiasco, and now that it is over, players have started to enjoy the new content that by all reports is excellent. Next roll out I am blocking out a week to play something else until the dust settles.
You just described every single Blizzard product launch since the original WoW came out. They always 'promise' to get the infrastructure up in place and are always 'surprised' that they so underestimated the demand. BS on an unprecedented scale, considering the billions of dollars involved funny that they keep getting away with it. Gamers are quite the whipping boy and publishers know this only too well...
Pandaria actually didn't have a bad launch at all.. and Ive been at all of em.. it had hiccups.. but not the kind that this one did.. this was basically a recreation of the BC launch![]()
