I've been getting around pretty well on my twice-sprained ankle thanks to some
help from a neoprene brace. The itch of healing is starting to make me nuts
because it's below the skin, but it also hasn't healed up enough to put it
through much without a brace, and I can't really say when I'll get past this
point, as the last time I had a high ankle sprain it took ages to recover, and I
was much younger at the time. Actually, if I'm smart, I'll continue to wear the
brace for a while after it's no longer a necessity, since it helps remind me to
be careful on it. Besides, I think the orthopedic look is in this year.

Fair enough. But if it were so easy to come up with a working vaccine for ebola -- lord knows those tens of thousands of Africans have waited long enough! -- why wait to whip one together in less than six months following a global media scare campaign?
