Is there going to be a consumer revolt against the ending causing HBO to refilm a new finale and sell it as pay per view DLC? It's pretty much where ME3 stole it's maligned "Choose the fate of the galaxy" one from that everyone cried about.

I guess Matrix 3 had it as well.

I read Canticle but didn't enjoy it much.

And HBO is working on a Westworld series? Sweet! Love the original. The cast is stellar so it should be great.

I had very fond memories of reading the original trilogy as a teenager, given to me by my father.

Recently I tried to go back and re-read the first book, and ... I didn't finish it. It just didn't seem to hold up as well as I'd hoped it would. Maybe I'll go back and try again--I seem to remember the series getting stronger as it progressed ...

Speaking of classic science fiction ... Any Canticle for Leibowitz fans out there?

I'd say that they are going to ruin it, but HBO has a pretty good track record of making decent series and/or adaptations... I'm mostly positive towards this.

A Foundation series has a lot more potential than a movie, at least. It might even be a good fit. Have a few episodes per time period, or something like that. That's the big problem with most of the books; they cover such a long timespan that one individual character doesn't stay around for more than a few chapters.

If anyone could do it justice, it would be HBO.

A Foundation adaptation is long overdue.

I second the motion...
