Yeah. Spent three weeks on it in a grad-level course on Irish writers. Afterward, I had even less respect for it than the microscopic amount I had before studying it. There's more depth and meaning in any work by Conrad, or any single poem by Blake. It's the Great White Hype...

Greatest novel according to whom? I seriously doubt that even the tiniest minority of people out there have read that book.
