Yeah, this has no new footage beyond what we've seen. I think what they're doing is incredibly cool, but there does also have to be a game in there somewhere.

It looks incredibly complex, but if it's just for the PS4 (so far) I can't see gameplay being particularly complicated or straying from high action.

It would be sad to see all that procedural generation be nothing more than an ultra-cool tech demo for a background for a standard shooter where you are searching for upgrades to proceed further towards the galactic core.

Yup, I'd consider picking one up if they were $50. Not $200 tho.

the voice commands are pretty efficient even if you have to speak up. gesture interface is pretty worthless though. it takes a few seconds to recognize your hand is up, and then the hand icon tends to jump around a lot. lot faster to just use the controller. still, for $30 premium, the potential is worth it.

The funny story I heard is that XBox would say "Hello Jennifer!" or whatever whenever the dog came into the room. Turns out Jennifer is the guys wife.

Windows 8 is a failure in the same way. Although, it seems to be dying a much slower death for some reason. Microsoft has made a few 180's but I am not sure if they are smart enough to realize that enough still hasn't been done to get me and a lot of other people on board. Fingers crossed for Windows 9. Hope Microsoft gets it by now. The consumer has the final decision in what stays and what goes. Not the company. #dealwiththatbitches

If people had to actually choose an OS for their new PC instead of having it preinstalled with no choice, Win 8 would be dead already.

When I had the 360 and Kinect, Kinect was awesome for voice controls for netflix, or any other non-disc movie playing. The ONLY other use for it I could find was watching my nephews play Kinect Party game.

The voice controls have always looked (sounded?) cool, and I could definitely see use for those, but they could have just implemented them with a $10 microphone built into the box itself.

But then Kinect would have been just a camera, and they knew full well that nobody wanted another iteration of their near-worthless camera for $100 extra, so they crammed the voice controls into the Kinect and pretended that voice controls somehow had to cost $100.

Don Mattrick really is just a fucking idiot.

Not completely worthless. I like that. That should be one of the bullet points on the retail box. "Not completely worthless". You probably love Windows 8 too I am guessing. LOL. It takes all kinds I guess.

was... was that supposed to be an insult? wtf is wrong with you kid? i made an innocent comment directed at nobody in particular, that was at best a backhanded compliment at something you apparently hate, and you still decided to fling some hate? you need help son.

The consumer has spoken. In spite of cramming this crapola product down the consumers throat with no mercy we see the consumer wins again.

The consumer should always have the final say so in whether or not a product is a failure or a success. Not the company.

Yeah, NMS is definite wait and see - if it even makes it to the PC now.
