Yeah, dodging tanks is quite hard if you can't even outrun them

Bicycles go where other vehicles cannot follow Also if what I heard is true tanks now go down with only three RPG hits... time to go hunting

To be clear, the BN group has been a positive experience, but every interaction with pubs has been very negative....it has been the definition of console pricks.

Maybe the Heists will be available when the PC version is, and the quality of player will be improved?

I honestly don't like the way they've done GTA Online. Making everything persistent was a terrible idea for the kind of people that play GTA in multiplayer. You get XP (or "RP", fucking Rockstar) for killing someone and then more for evading the police that come looking for you after your blood-soaked rampage? Gee I wonder why Los Santos is full of virtual psychopaths? The only reason to play with pubs is if you're looking to add that bit "will I or won't I get shot at random" edge to your experience.

In a lot of ways GTA Online has exactly the same problem as DayZ and all the bullshit survival games. There isn't any point in trusting anyone you don't know so you might as well open fire on them because if you don't they're probably going to kill you. If they plan to make the "heists" happen on open servers half the crew will be shot in random drive-by's before the heist even gets underway.

If you start a gang attack you become invincible to other players in the lobby until it's completed. So I'd assume if heists are going to go down in open servers then it would work the same.

As for the carnage that's open lobbies, that's why I put in an effort to hook up with a large active crew. Now all those issues are mute. Plus if I want to do the random carnage thing I can log onto a pub and do that too... heh sometimes I log onto a pub and ride around on my bicycle, now that's a challenge.

MGS looks pretty cool.
It is no longer platform exclusive is it?
Wish they'd have a PC version. I might actually end up getting a PS4 when that comes out.

The main man on it says he'd like a PC port. I've never really followed this series since about the first (which had a PC port I remember), but from what I've seen of this new one, I like the look of it. Kinda reminds me of a 3rd person Crysis (sans aliens.)

Enh, I'm, a bit concerned about these variants in NMS. It's going to be boring if you hopping around planets seeing the same-ish flora and fauna with only minor differences. Same with the ships. I don't have a lot of faith that the game can procedurally generate these to be really interesting - unless by accident. I guess we'll see.

Yeah I agree, I don't see how they will have enough variety to do anything other than 5-6 presets that get mixed up at random. I'm also skeptical of a game combining so many unlike parts and have enough depth to stay interesting.

If some heists don't launch before the new version of the game goes live, it's really going to look bad on R*...

I guess it doesn't bother me as much as others as I have played through the game 1.5 times and have had little to not time for Online....but at least they are telling people what is going on. It is kind of lame it is taking this long...and I understand the frustrations people have that were very active in the game....

I am assuming I will put all of my time into the PC version of online rather than play the frustrating interface, matchmaking, lame asses online for the ps3 and xbox.....

It doesn't bother me either, as I doubt I'll play then, but I can see how folks that were counting on that as a selling point would be pissed.

And if they launch later, people will infer (correct or not) that the plan all along was to ship them a year later, after the new version was sold.

They didn't really tell people what was going on for a long time though. It was just a generic "delayed til Spring" thing and only then after people clamored on the forums for awhile. It's great that they're doing it now but they could have avoided a lot of this by not advertising the feature heavily pre-launch and staying in better communication with fans about it.
