Don't judge your food based on how you think it would do in a competition. Most competition food has nothing to do with reality and what regular people like to eat. Competition food is specifically prepared for judges that expect certain things by people who are endlessly tweaking their food for what they think the judges want based on what won previously.

Look at how most of those people make chili for gosh sakes. It's like the dark ages of chili cooking or something. Unless a new formula managed to win big recently to cause a disruption in the competition field.

Cook your food the way you want it or how your guests like it and I can almost guarantee it will be good.

If he does Spaceballs 2, he really really really needs to persuade the money men to keep the subtitle. I had assumed he had retired but if he feels he's up to it and has his touch, I'd like to see more of his work.

I expect A Million Ways To Die In The West will try too hard. Ted was better than I'd expected but definitely not a classic. Seth MacFarlane's TV shows are pretty tired but perhaps a change is what he needs. He's not everybody's cup of tea - understatement - but I really admire how talented he is in many ways and what he's achieved professionally.

Get Smart was genius. Loved watching it as a kid. Still do.

And Blue, you're right of course. I hate that mushy fall off the bone scheisse. To me a rib should have some snap and chew to it. I want to get my inner wolf on and tear and gnaw meat off the bone, not have it fall apart. Then again I prefer beef ribs to pork as well so it's a little easier to see them done that way.

I got the Char-Griller Akorn Kamado (cheap Green Egg knockoff)... Works great as a smoker as well as a second grill.

If you ever pass through Tulsa, make sure to hit Burn Co. I'm not much of a fan of ribs, but theirs are spectacular.
