XLGames' upcoming fantasy-themed sandbox MMORPG. There are details on the
ArcheAge website and the packs are on sale
on this page. There are three
different levels of participation, with future beta access included in the
$49.99 and $99.99 silver and gold packages, and immediate alpha access included
with the $149.99 Archeum package.

People who part with $150 for early access will be subject to confirmation bias. They are less willing to see fault in something they've paid richly for. Trion are thus assured of having an early fan base who say many positive things about the game, while minimizing negatives. You can't buy that kind of positive buzz.
