Here is all that needs to happen: It has to be good. Be priced reasonably. And have game support like we were thinking.
If that doesn't happen, Facebook fucked it up in the court of public opinion.
I have to say, Palmer Lucky is making a lot of promises on Reddit. Blowing smoke up our asses is obviously a large part of it but he's being very specific and if he's lying, he's going balls out and will never be taken seriously again. But then, perhaps he doesn't care. This deal specifically lets us greatly lower the price of the Rift.We promise we won't change. If anything, our hardware and software will get even more open, and Facebook is onboard with that.
- A bit contradictory but I see what he means.Because this is about the best possible outcome for the future of virtual reality, not my wallet.
- Pull the other one mate.We defined the milestones. They are exactly in line with our prior plans.
- That's very good. I don't want the CV1 to be overhauled unless they absolutely need to.We have not gotten into all the details yet, but a lot of the news is coming.
- I await this with interest.
