These are alibi patches to appease the growing impatient masses who would like to see much more progress being made.
The hangar is still in horrible shape. Poor lighting and crappy overall graphics, shitty performance, no official AA support, common resolutions are still not officially supported, no options menu worth mentioning, nothing... and only a handful of pledge ships half-finished. The rest has been "coming soon" for the past nine months or so.

@Slinkycatz: The DFM has been confirmed to release "soon" after PAX East, not at PAX East. They are only showing a demo at PAX. With CIG's definition of "soon" it is anyone's guess when the module will actually come out.

Not much to report about the hangar, they add ships or make changes to them and fix bugs. The shooting range is pretty basic at this point, nothing much more to it than to see your weapons in action. There was a recent update to CryEngine to use PBR [physically based rendering] so they are redoing some original ships to make use of that.

The dogfighting module has been confirmed to release at Pax East which runs from April 11-13... that should be something more interesting to talk about.
