The Evolve tease that popped up
over the weekend has culminated in the release of a new
Happy Hunting trailer
from the multiplayer shooter coming this fall from Turtle Rock Studios (Left
4 Dead). On a related note, there are new previews of the game on
AusGamers;

VG247, and there's a
video interview on VG247 where Phil Robb introduces the game and a
story on Eurogamer discussing why Turtle Rock parted ways with Valve. Here's the description of the clip:

Both the gameplay and rendered trailers for this look pretty cool. I played the crap out of L4D, so I think this is probably an autobuy.

Agreed. Didn't think this would be for me until I watched that footage. The real issue is going to be finding 3 other people that actually want to cooperate, just like LFD.

as far as multiplayer shooters go this actually interests me a lot more than that mech game Titanfall
everyone being allowed jetpacks is awesome! reminds me of Tribes
playing as the monster is cool as fuck!
This looks interesting, but I'm still looking for a replacement for L4D2. I'd love a 4 on 4 running battle through derelict starships and planetary outposts without zombies...

God no... I felt L4D games were great as one-shot titles, they even released patches with FREE content. They also opened moddability for people to create their own content. Most F2P are slowly moving away from games allowing users to create their own content, since a publisher can charge people for the Devs creating mod content you have to buy. 50-60 bucks should get you a full game in a box, with free patches, and any huge additions should be paid expansions.

That gameplay footage does look interesting. It's like a more action packed version of what I thought aliens MP was going to be a long time ago. I think the DLC options are going to make or break this game. I can even see them going DOTA2 route and being F2P with just having to buy lots of extra hunters/monsters. I also see this route as a failure.
Munching On: FF14 storyline, SAO PS4, Horizon.
I wonder how the map rotation is going to work with 4 vs 1. Are there going to be multiple different giant monsters to choose from, or do the players chase the same giant monster on different maps?

Good to know. Now that you mention that, they mention fighting 'a' monster in YouTube video description. If they use that whole DLC money grab, I agree that is a potential recipe for disaster, and would be a no interest for me.

Yeah, X3 on being disappointed there was no gameplay, but it does look like the potential is there to be a lot of fun. I guess it is using the 4th generation of the CryEngine too. Look forward to seeing some actual game play though.....
