During the course of the game, players can roam through a brothel environment in which several prostitutes are depicted topless. The central character has the ability to spy on couples engaging in sexual activity (topless characters); suggestive moaning and dialogue can also be heard. Some settings depict opium vats or characters under the influence of the drug. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” can be heard in the dialogue.
Games are fun, gamers suck.

Sadly, yeah. Well, at least in most cases. I had great fun running along with a very good RP guild as we kicked the shit out of Caledon Forest dynamic events last night in GW2.
(Yes, I know it's a lvl 15-30 zone. Sue me.)
In fact, I was amazed by how lively most zones were. Even the two starting zones I visited had around a dozen players in it in most areas. And I jump to a character who I had left in Caledon Forest over a year ago, and to my surprise there's like 50 players running around.
I think the "EVERY ZONE IS EMPTY EXCEPT ORR OR FRACTALS!" rhetoric we tend to hear every now and then is really rather exaggerated.

I call that checkmate.
I really do. Some detective work with Steam profiles will quickly lead you to more than you would ever want to see.

I could see my flag - and was "DEFENDING" - not sure why I got in trouble for "camping" while defending. Wasn't in a corner, was out in the open, they just didn't look around when they came into the area with the flag - had their blinders on. oh well.

There's a big difference between nudity and sexuality and the pornographic. If you can't tell the difference, that says a lot about your own lack of standards.
So it's his lack of standards and not you being prudish, right? Christ, Janet Jackson flashes less than 1 second of nipple and mainstream America goes off the deep end.
Piss off, I work in adult entertainment. Prudishness isn't the issue: tastelessness reflective of a 12 year old mindset is.

About THIEF... pfuh. I'm not a prude at all, but fuck me was I disgusted by the triple X porn scene in The Darkness 2. I assume it will be a similar scene in THIEF. It is SO FUCKING TELLING what kind of mindset the developers have that work on this game. They just want the game to be a complete hit among the masturbating 16 year olds -- you know, the group that makes sure consoles and COD are still on the market.
You must be American. Kill Good. Sex bad. Video games aren't allowed to have sex, movies can. These double standards. I'll leave judgement on this one until I witness.

Yup, you just gave one example, which is fantastic.
How many more can you come up with?
Don't get me wrong there aren't a lot either good or bad. Sex is so limited in video games. I can't say if an unreleased Thief is tasteful or not. Funny as shit or not. Or just bad. But i'm not against sex turning out good in video games.
I wouldn't be, if it felt it had a place, but I've yet to see it fit into a game.
Undocumented Alien wrote on Jan 23, 2014, 16:09:It's not about the difficulty requiring a second player - it's just about being able to team up with a friend and play through the singleplayer content together (though yes, we'd likely jack up the difficulty to compensate). And why would we be in different areas? The idea would be to explore and enjoy the game's content together. The variety of weapon and skill path options would make it even more fun, as a couple of players could support each other while specializing in their particular area.
Agreed, you could play Diablo 2 and run in a completely different direction then your buddies, but you don't because the point is to play together. Skyrim has you play with a companion quite a bit, not sure why this couldn't be with another real player. The scripting would just have to be updated to allow that other player to get credit for completing a quest.

I don't get co-op Skyrim either, to be honest. There is nothing so difficult
