Out of the Blue

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The civil rights leader's birthday was actually last week, but it's not really a holiday in the U.S. if it's not on a Monday, so there you go.

The football games were pretty great yesterday, though the officiating was pretty rough. I turned around my horrible regular season for our playoff pool and am in first place at this point, with my pre-playoffs pick matrix resulting in nine winners out of ten games so far. The points escalate with each round in this one, however, so there's still the chance for me to end up as low as tied for fourth out of ten (actually nine, as one player made no picks) if I get the Super Bowl wrong, so I'll keep the champagne on ice for now.

read between the lines dude. i don't know if you've played much sports in your life but it doesn't sound like you have. sherman wasn't being a punk. he was responding to a punk. crabtree had been mouthing off the entire game and even leading up to the game, so this is what happens when you shut down a punk who'd been disrespecting you for a week or more. that's why afterwards crabtree wasn't angry about it - he knew he got shut up and he had no right to talk anymore.

This is Cutter we're talking about. If he's commenting about something chances are very good he has absolutely no experience in it whatsoever.

Even if Crabtree was trash-talking all game long, which wouldn't be surprising, Sherman was still showing his ass in public making himself the loser. He might not be a bad guy, but he was an ass in that interview. Yes, he was emotionally pumped after what was possibly a career defining moment -- it's forgivable.

They're all out there trash talking, he's just louder about it. As some articles have been pointing out... they did interview him just minutes after he made the game winning, superbowl granting, block on a guy who trash talked him before and during the game. He was hyped up, I'd rather watch that then Manning's boring interview. Having said that though, I am rooting for the Broncos.

Years ago, in high school, I had a rabid foaming at the mouth Denver fan, who happened to be a science teacher. Most of the time he was a good guy, but anytime the Broncos lost, the next day was literally a book day/studying with no talking whatsoever. And if someone broke this rule, he would flip out, to the point of screaming at the top of his lungs. Before class began and he entered the room, there was talk of "Did the Broncos win last night? Oh fuck..."

I can only imagine where he is now, if he's still alive. But any mention of the Broncos gives me flashbacks.

LOL
His family will probably have medical staff on standby during the game.

I know absolutley nothing about the NFL season so far but as always I'll take a side in the superbowl.
After watching the sound bite after the SeaHawkes game where that dude threw his toys's mouthing off about "don't call me names I'm the best, MotherF&%$", well that put me on the side of the Broncos.
I want the Broncos to wipe the floor with them then have an interviewer corner rant baby.

Not as popular or famous, but that's not true. It is worth a thought though, because I agree inasmuch as you could never see someone like them in office in this day and age.

Don't get me wrong, there are some features I like about it and it's free which is nice. Never saw the 2012 interface but hopefully they redo it again next year because its just super basic and lacks useful info like stats and historicals.

Yea they switched the format right before the season started - which I warned about, but oh well. Lets find something a lot better going forward. You can all blame me. But it was still fun!
