Funny how he got elected in 2008 running against this very thing.

I used to think lawyers were the worst of the worst. Now I know it's politicians.

That's because most politicians - including Obama - are lawyers. So no, your first assessment is still correct.

LOL truth. I've seen companies have no on-site lawyers, but once they hire'em, wait a few years and then all decisions of substance go through them and they can yay or nay anything and you have no recourse at all to argue, because they have the credentials to at least interpret what they think, which I believe most of it is horseshit. In general they stop a lot of things that could very well be green-lighted.

They are hired to be risk averse. If they greenlight something, and a lawsuit arises from it, they're the ones that get fired for it.

Blame the person giving them power to stop something, not the lawyer for doing his job. They should have solely an advisory presence.
In this case.

In that "critic to overser" article, basically some NSA and CIA guys were like, "Hey, hey... there's this guy, he was a terrorist, his bomb didn't go off though, so Obama, that's proof, you gotta keep it going so we can find out about the terrorist guys before they make the dud bombs."

And Obama bought it hook line and sinker. Or just plays along whatever, such a hypocrite. Apparently the common sense part of the brain drops out for a majority of politicians.

Years ago they talked about "foiled" plots during Bush's reign, when it was found out later some FBI informants goaded some gullible people into doing something they wouldn't have otherwise for so called uncovered "plots." Basically filling their head with bravado and grandeur. Also called Entrapment.

The NSA must be breaking alot of laws and wiping their ass with the Constitution. Its really scary actually. I am surprised its even close to being legal.

It's only "legal" because the Obama administration redefined what spying means. Funny how he got elected in 2008 running against this very thing.
