Welp, I got Thief as part of the AMD promotion so I'm curious how Tango Uniform, FUBAR, SNAFU it'll be.
"Van Gogh painted alone and in despair and in madness and sold one picture in his entire life. Millions struggled alone, unrecognized, and struggled as heroically as any famous hero. Was it worthless? I knew it wasn't."
Isn't Dishonored more magic/thief though? I haven't seen any magic abilities in Thief trailers. All I remember from playing the originals was trying to get to objectives without anyone seeing me and staying in the shadows.
If it can at least match the third title, I'll be very satisfied. I'm feeling cautious that the steampunk style may be too reliant on current trends and make the game feel "stuck" in the present time upon future viewings. Yes, all games due to graphical limitations are frozen in a similar way, but the aesthetics within rendering limitations may make it "such a mid-2010s game." But hey, not every game can be a timeless classic and hopefully this is a solid Thief game experience either way.
