Could be good, if they stick to the player being a solo survivor, minimal weapons, horror kind of game. Obviously everyone knows 'what' the alien is, but if they make the AI superb in trapping and actually hunting the player. THAT is always what I wanted out of a proper Alien game.

Its possible to do a proper Marines Alien game - but Gearbox gone done messed it up. If I am not mistaken, I believe CA is making the Alien survivor game.

Take out all the clones, keep the one alien, and rip off Amnesia with bonus Oculus Rift support.

Bam.

To quote James Cameron as to why he won't touch Terminator or Aliens anymore, "They've pissed in the soup". I'll add they've pissed in the soup so much it's no longer soup. Not even the patriarch of the franchise could come to grasp on what an Alien movie should be.
