but I think I'll trust
our archive from that time that it was actually 15 years ago today, which
was a Tuesday. Either way, it's been that long since the release of the stealth
classic. In other gaming history, it was

that QUAKE II went gold, and 14 years
ago today that QUAKE III Arena went gold, a stark example of how much
quicker game development was back in the day. And it was

The Threat arrived in North American and Australian stores. Rounding out the

that Painkiller: Battle Out Of Hell shipped, kicking off that series.
Thief: The Dark Project remains one of my all time favorite games, right there next to Elder Scrolls Arena and Privateer.
