Out of the Blue

This was an 11 win week for me in my NFL picks, so the apocalypse may be upon us. Sorry I had to call the commissioner about that last call last night, but a wins a win, right? Seriously, though, I don't buy that that was an uncatchable ball, but the NFL needs to at least admit that if it was uncatchable, it is still a penalty for holding. It certainly is weird how many New England games are decided on picky interpretations of the rules, isn't it?

Unfortunately they caved on the 'bad sport' crying so I fully expect the public free roam sessions to be a clusterfuck. Try to enjoy yourself now as the money glitchers who own tanks rain death to everyone and camp residences, guess I'll be doing the crew only sessions even more now. Oh and if you did races or parachuting instead of glitching for your money, hope you got your money cause the payouts have been nuked big time. Gotta get the people to buy those GTA dollars, can't have them earning enough by just playing.

On a positive note however, they have removed all vehicles from garages that aren't supposed to be there and eliminated the glitches that allowed it... heh for now anyway as I'm sure the kiddies will find another way. Should be interesting at least, I'll have to log on to see how it's panned out.

There's no way to keep a vehicle in this game, right, other than always returning it to a garage?
You get the 5 vehicles your main characters keep driving (1 for Trevor, 2 for Michael, alternating, 2 for Franklin), and... that's it?

If you buy a vehicle you can leave it without returning it to the garage. It will get impounded so you just need to collect it from the impound yard. So once you buy the garages for the main characters you can have another 4 vehicles each, and you can have a 5th vehicle for their home garage, but that one does need to be returned to the garage or you will lose it... that said I've lost cars I bought for the purchased garage, but that's supposed to be fixed now... haven't played single player since online went online.

oh, I need a new wireless router. I am not a fan of them, but mine went Tango Uniform this week. It was a solid one, the Gamer Lounge D-Link DGL-4300 that lasted a lot longer than I had expected.

Anyone have a wireless router they really like?

Thanks.

I recommend you check out this site it has the most comprehensive router tests i've come across for general consumer networking

You get the 5 vehicles your main characters keep driving (1 for Trevor, 2 for Michael, alternating, 2 for Franklin), and... that's it?

I took too long to realize I should upgrade those vehicles, instead constantly grabbing a Super I saw driving around, but in general modding seems pointless. Hell, Trever found a Bugatti early on and... never drove it. If I drive it and abandon it, which you often inadvertently do in missions, it's gone, right? Why would I ever spend $1mm for one (well, I guess when I'm a billionaire) and then mod it if I may end up driving it for less than 5 minutes?

The SR system seems so much better. I had every car, some with multiple versions since you could mod them fairly differently (and that's where games should go - letting you specialize rather than merely upgrade), and varied which one I drove depending on mood, with no concerns about thrashing it or leaving it in the middle of the road.

On that note, even clothing felt somewhat pointless. Aside from some items only working with some other items, Michael in particular kept changing out of his suit, and Trevor did it half the time, meaning that dressing them often took longer than they'd wear the outfit. Yet Franklin spent half the game in a parachute harness for me. Go figure.

The more I hear, the less I want to play. Although the fun is still there, the amount of grinding they obviously expect you to do is getting ridiculous.

There wasnt any time left, what were they gonna do, award them a touch down with 0:00 left on the clock? As for the ball being uncatchable, oh it was....by the Panthers who intercepted it.... again no problem with the no call deciding a games outcome. I much more have a problem when they call something that decides the outcome.

game can't end on a defensive penalty by rule. if it was PI, the pats would've had one untimed down at the 1 yard line. if it was holding, they would've had an untimed down at whatever +10 yards would've been. ball was catchable. if that dude doesn't lean on gronk, he almost certainly can jam on the brakes and make a play for it. even if i bought the 'uncatchable' argument, that's 100% some form of illegal contact.

Ahh IC, thanks. Wasnt sure what would of happened if the play was called. Still though i rather see a no call then a call at the last play of the game

/Cardinals fan.

I was a Chargers/Padres fan back when I lived (grew up in San Diego area) in California, back when stadiums had 1 name (Jack Murphy Stadium), but it's been many moons since Dan Fouts and Steve Garvey.
Only thing I share with Bengal's fan is our hatred of the Steelers.
But as for the Cubs, (while I don't follow the seasons) I love me a underdog, and I don't mean how the Reds/Bengals start off great, f'up the rest of the season, and BARELY make it into the play-offs and give up (for the last 5 years at least).

Plus I REALLY want to go to Wrigley field. I believe it's one of the last few original fields left that hasn't been renamed, or sold to some corporation.

First off, my soup turned out pretty damn awesome. Second, PIS on gta5 went from 1.45 to 103.73 - and I have 15M invested. I THINK I have enough money now! hahahahaha

Bad news - back went out.....chiro and doc appts everyday for the next week - try and get back on track.

Oh, wife and I started watching Breaking Bad last night, neither one of us had watched the show before. Interesting. Watched 2 episodes, hope to get more tv time in today.
