Today is the day that Daylight Saving Time ended in these parts, so we did the
whole "fall forward" dealie. As stated often in the past, I prefer daylight time
to standard time, but the 25 hour day is awesome... I vote for finding a way to
slow the Earth's rotation to make all days 25 hours long.

Actually, the moon's gravitation pull is slowing the Earth down already. Your scenario of a 25 hour-long day will occur in 146 million years (and, because of the longer day, we will only have 350 days per year). Set your calendars!
