FYI, some Apple products are being made in the US now. Where it used to be NONE. They are trying to do more of that, but the infrastructure just isn't here.

No it's just the hardware is the same as last year's iPhone 5 just with a plastic (but high quality plastic unlike Android phones unfortunately) case. It's like how before they'd sell the last years model for a lot less when the new one came out, but this time they tried to spice the lower cost one up a little more.
The problem is that people see the 5S and are then like, screw the 5C I want THAT!
