Yeah, that's a bit weird. I wonder if they're rigging the LEDs to be off where the display is hidden behind the case, to save power.

Funny definition of huge, too. It depends on the circumstances and a hand held device has different standards to a TV but still, that's about 7 or 8 inches. Huge*!
