I still have the manual in a box somewhere. I really want to dig that out, now. I have fond memories of it being brilliant as far as manuals go; though maybe that was just fanboy-ism talking and that I would look at it now and wonder what the Hell I was so impressed over.
...maybe I should just leave it in that box. |

BG2 was the game that basically taught me ADD 2.5. Absolutely loved the story, and was always wondering what was next. Easily my favorite thing Bioware has done, though I'll admit the original Dragon Age was a good follow up.
2nd Edition AD&D, you mean. There was no mid-edition revision of the rules, just a reprint of the core rulebooks in '96 with new art/typeface and incorporated errata. You're probably confusing it with Edition 3.5 which came out in 2003, which reworked some of the more broken components of 3rd Edition, which came out in 2000. |

They are still in phase 3 of a four phase beta test for their first game... Slow down. |

The main issue is whether it supports the original mods... |

Yeah... I've played entirely too much BG2. I recognized every screenshot instantly(not counting the row from the new content), critiqued their party choices and compared it to my playthroughs.
Looks fairly interesting in terms of their resolution fixes at least, and weapon icon indicators on the portraits. Probably wouldn't buy it until it's on sale for under 5 bucks though, disc/gog versions already. |
