Bugbear's Next Car Game

Developer Bugbear announces their next car demolition game, which they are calling Next Car Game for the moment, saying this will come to PCs via digital distribution next year. They are not exactly crowd-funding this project, but they are accepting preorders, saying once they've sold 10,000 copies of the game they will release a sneak peak version of the game. Here's word on this "pre-alpha" release will help shape development of the game:
Then, later this year, we're going to release the early access, a pre-Alpha build for all pre-order customers. This is a much more complete version, but still very much in the making.

So not only do you have a chance to join the fun right away and get access to exclusive content, you also get a chance to help shaping the game into something YOU want to play. Make no mistake about it, this game is being developed for you – don’t miss out on the chance to say your word! Want a specific game mode? Don’t think your favorite car model is included? Let’s hear it!

After playing around with the BeamNG Alpha this doesn't seem as revolutionary to me. Still it's really interesting that they referenced Street Rod, which is still one of the coolest racing games. I've also like many of Bugbears past games. Not sure if that's enough to preorder though.
BeamNG isn't much of a game. You drive a rather bad looking model around. Crash once. Witness a cool effect. And then you can no longer play the game because..your car is realistically totaled. It's a novelty.

Yeah, that was also my impression of the Alpha and why I ultimately didn't buy that game and, at least at the moment, don't plan to do so.

I wasn't really a fan of the last decent PC arcade racing game. I did love Demolition Derby back in the day and am sure these guys can do it justice.

I wasn't really a fan of Ultimate Carnage. I did love Demolition Derby back in the day, and Grids demo mode, so I guess I'll keep an eye on this.
