Yes it does make sense, I don't buy your 'natural thumb position' nonsense and if precedent didn't matter then you shouldn't be commenting based on past iterations of both controllers. My thumbs naturally rest just fine on either controller, you are just trying to make your preference seem objectively superior when it is just a simple brand preference. I doubt you have even used either controller anyway, I have used both next gen controllers in person and can attest to their comfort levels being very even. Make up your own mind when you actually get your hands on them.
All I'm saying is that it is stupid to buy something sight unseen based on an old console and a picture of a controller. The Dual Shock 4 feels very natural to hold and has comfort parity with the Xbox One controller.
