Out of the Blue

I was alerted to the fact that although our forum registration process promises we're not asking for your email address in order to sell it or spam you, we have never added a formalized privacy policy here, so I dug up a template and drew one up. I hope I make it to 69 at least so I can cackle like a dirty old man every time I say it.

Definitely would like to pull a Rumpelstillskin and wake up in a long time from now and look at what is thought historically of our time. A good 150 years or so, maybe more. Not to mention to see what happens with the upward tech curve...

Was talking about something similar with a friend last night...his family does a lot of family tree stuff, and he got ahold of some land documents from like 1863 (printed, signed, and everything).

If that person could see today, and how technology and shaped and changed us, it would be like looking into another universe...I can't imagine what that would be like.

Happy Birthday Cutter! Are you going to have celebratory English muffin pizzas?

From closing paragraph of article: Don’t be surprised if the biggest obstacles to the Hyperloop turn out to be bureaucratic rather than technological. Ya think?! That's what killed the electric car.

1) A new study estimates that global sea levels will rise about 2.3 meters, or more than seven feet, over the next several thousand years for every degree (Celsius) the planet warms.

+

2) "The simulations of future scenarios we ran from physical models were fairly consistent with evidence of sea-level rise from the past,"

=

"Some 120,000 years ago, for example, it was 1-2 degrees warmer than it is now and sea levels were about five to nine meters higher.

... Math sure's changed a lot since I went to school.

Predators was very very entertaining but horribly miscast. Adrian Brody??? The producers were hitting the Salvia bong much tooo hard methinks....

Just like Predators was in many ways a throwback to the original Predator (set on jungle, gung-ho mercenaries fighting for survival etc. etc.) this new flick will probably be set in an urban environment. Hey maybe they give Danny Glover and Gary Busey cameos....GARY BUSEY!!!!

Happy Level Up Day, Cutter. Max level is a secret and different for each person, sadly, and you don't know until the last roll...

Do something fun!

And damn I wish I had known about that fan trick the other night as it's the first time in a long time I was just ravaged by mosquitoes. I forgot how irritating all this itching is.

Hyperloop sounds cool if infeasible for seismically challenged California. I was down there for the '94 quake and rocketing along underground at 800mph is not somewhere I'd want to be.

And hell's yeah on that Predator flick! Sure hope it's something new. Sonny rocked in the first one and should have been utilized more anyway.

Is Fox making another Predator movie?

Here's hoping it's a new bluray of the original that doesn't suck ass. We have one that's DNR'd to death, and another that makes the forests a pixelfest, according to the reviews I've seen...

Normally, I wouldn't bother posting something like this here. But because it annoyed me so much, and it seems like maybe this wasn't intended to be public knowledge, I give you this:
