Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC Plans?

Aliens Colonial Marines will apparently be supported with the release of campaign DLC called Stasis Interrupted, in spite of the rocky reception for Gearbox's sci-fi shooter. This news is according to PS3Trophies, where they have a list of 10 new PS3 trophies from the add-on, which are likely spoilers for the campaign. This is a leak more than an announcement at this point, so there are no further details or a release schedule. Thanks Eurogamer.

not if its a turd

Although if by support you mean redoing the entire game so that it finally looks like the demo builds then i'll agree with you

Indeed. Quickest way to get sued or at the very least make sure nobody buys your future games...sell a seasons pass and then not deliver what was already sold.

I look forward to the campaign DLC as it has a chance of being decent. And at least I'll be able to play it unlike the MP DLC.

Someday someone is going to do a terrifying survival horror Aliens game and it is going to be awesome.

Someday... Sigh

"ACM still sucks."

This is what happens when you get an entitled Bullshit Expert running the show, who just happens to as well have absolutely horrible management skills.

Any game can be awesome. It all depends on who is running the show. And if ya can`t do a great game with 60 million in fundage, you really ought to get out of the Business.

That happens to be EXACTLY how I met my wife...AND she was selling a "season pass" at the time. Ok sure, I "possibly" met her on a street corner *cough*

Some of you guys are missing the facts here. Gearbox isn't developing the DLC. Most of it was by Nerve Software (multiplayer maps), Timegate (maps and other assets), Demiurge Studios (Bug Hunt and other things), and Darkside Game Studios (supposedly the new singleplayer DLC). The only reason anything is coming out is they have a contract with Sega to provide support through the end of August. Since the game flopped both parties are doing the absolute bare minimum of work to avoid breaking the contract and getting sued.

They can't really do much about that, it's a game not very well liked and they can't fix that fact with DLC. All they can really do is support it as they said they would (something people remember) and try to keep it enjoyable for the few people who did like it.

I remember when Activision released Prototype, a decent game that just needed some fleshing out that DLC could have fixed but they just left it and moved onto a sequel. At least Gearbox is doing what they can, they can't rewrite the game here.

The Borderlands team is totally separate anyway.

I think people are mad because they feel Gearbox isn't really supporting the game with the intention of making their customers happy, but more with the goal of doing the bare minimum to fulfill their contract and not get sued.

They owe the community 1 more DLC, they have released Bug Hunt and 2 MP map packs already. Bug Hunt was great. The MP map packs were useless to the PC community since their implementation of matchmaking is completely broken on PC.

After the campaign DLC, that will probably be the last of it based on what was listed in the Seasons Pass description.

They actually don’t have a choice. They sold the season pass. They owe the community three more DLCs
