I'm kind of surprised now looking back on FPS how much happened from 1996-1999. People (myself included) like to hate on how there's a new CoD every year and I guess I'm just forgetting how the Quake series happened:
Quake (1996)
Quake Mission Pack 1: Scourge of Armagon (1997)
Quake Mission Pack 2: Dissolution of Eternity (1997)
Quake II (1997)
Quake II Mission Pack: The Reckoning (1998)
Quake II Mission Pack: Ground Zero (1998)
Quake III Arena (1999)
Quake III: Team Arena (2000)
When I was playing HL, CS and Q3 I felt like Quake was ancient but it was only about 3 years earlier.
That's not to say that CoD still isn't over saturated and uninnovative:
Call of Duty (2003)
Call of Duty 2 (2005)
Call of Duty 3 (2006)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)
Call of Duty: World at War (2008)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009)
Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011)
Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012)
(without expansions/DLC and console/mobile)

Well at least you have one... you wouldn't believe how many people skimp on this little investment that could save their life. Do you also have a fire extinguisher? (Just curious, people look at me funny when I tell them I have 2.....)

I am still not sure why I would want a FIRE ONLY alarm in my house. Seems to me the "smoke" vs "fire" ratio is like 50000 to 1 and I'd like to KNOW when there is smoke, no matter what kind.
My stupid smoke detector in its default location goes off from the steam from my shower.
At least you know it's workingBesides, default location in the bathroom???? Where I live, the detectors are supposed to sit in the staircase at every floor. And CO detector (optional) right where you sleep and wherever your heating is. That is the maximum possible early warning system. What kind of fire could break out in the bathroom apart from hot steam and bad deo? ^^

Wait..you read a book, liked it, saw they made a movie out of it....and actually expected the movie to be true to the book? You have a better chance of seeing a unicorn in your backyard.

What if the fire is caused by burning food? I'm confident this is a major source of house fires.

Happy Birthday to Quake! Lot of fond memories there...
Saw World War Z today, and it wasn't bad at all. Might have been that I went in with very low expectations.
Did anyone in the audience throw their hands up in the air and scream how they butchered the novel? No?
*Throws his hands up in the air, "They BUTCHERED THE NOVEL!"![]()
Or they basically took the name of the novel and nothing else.
