Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director’s Cut™ is the enhanced return to one of the most critically-acclaimed video game franchises of all time. The game tells the story of Adam Jensen, a man cybernetically augmented against his own will, who soon finds himself in the middle of a global conspiracy to which he holds the key.
By offering players the chance to advance through the game in multiple and vastly different ways, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut™ challenges the foundations of gaming and provides an immersive experience where every choice has a lasting consequence.
Eidos has demonstrated recently that they don't exactly have their finger on the pulse of their games and fans, ie: basically stating the new Tomb Raider was a failure to them, despite it outselling all the previous games, and recently announcing a new Deus Ex game for mobile.

I expect they will release this as a DLC or as a patch to people who already own the game - much like how the enhanced Witcher games have been released. Would seem like pretty bad PR to do otherwise. Does anyone know of any official statements concerning this?

Not really worth buying the whole game again. I wonder if there'll be an upgrade version on Steam.
The Typhoon aug is very effective against the bosses so if you make sure you have that and a few rounds, you don't have to suffer the bosses for long.

That must be what sparked DE:HR as a freebie on the PS+ games list. How is this supposed to be different from a GOTY edition?

I'd be quite willing to buy a new Deus Ex game. I'm not much for the "special" opportunity to buy into the latest "value added" re-release though...

This is good news. Even though I realize the boss fights were just a small part of the game, they kind of sapped my desire to go back and play Human Revolution again.
If they make those encounters play more like the rest of the game, I could see myself adding this game to my 'replay once a year' list, even if it means I need to buy it again.
