Bethesda offers this E3 trailer from The Elder Scrolls Online, offering a look at the upcoming MMO installment in their RPG series, celebrating the announcement that the game will go live in the spring, and will support the new console systems from Sony and Microsoft. Here's the scoop: "The Elder Scrolls Online is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and we're celebrating with this new gameplay trailer! Three powerful alliances struggle for control of war-torn Tamriel as the Daedric Prince Molag Bal schemes to destroy it entirely. I have yet to see even a decent console MMOG, let alone an MMORPG. I'm not saying it's impossible, but the nature of the control scheme means that any MMO that is "limited" by being a console release will be less sophisticated than a PC only release. There's just no way around it. An action oriented game might perhaps find a way to be good in both environments, but I'm not holding out hope. I guess I kind of already already suspected that this particular MMO would be on consoles, but disappointing news all the same.
