The E3 trailer from
the new Thief game is live, offering more promotion of the upcoming
revival of the stealth series. The clip includes no gameplay and concludes
saying "out in 2014."

Reply to the highschool bully aside, I signed that petition to bring the original voice-actor back. Like Ray already said, he IS Garrett. Putting another voice-actor on it would simply make him an imposter.
Too early to write the game off, but all signs are pointing toward a solid albeit premature "Mark my words: this game will suck".

Well to be fair the Thief universe is set in a steampunk setting, which generally implies a much higher technological level than your average medieval fantasy setting. It would be actually kind of cool to see steam coming out of the pistons that are visible on the bow in the image for the game trailer at the top of this thread.

Since you saw through his eyes and self body awareness was never a feature, his clothes/cloth never mattered. There was never a reflection of him or what he wore at least in Thief 1 & Thief 2.
We could never even determine his age.

Changing the voice of an iconic character is a dangerous step to make for a developer, but I'm sure the changes made to the lore, gameplay, and style, and not to mention these awesome CGI trailers, will bring in enough new gamers to offset the loss of fans.

Maybe I'm weird but I liked the trailer. And I am a huge fan of the Thief series, particularly Thief 2.
