If it was RDR, I'd take sloppy thirds even.

I think it is doing well because it's $4 for the entire game, dlc, etc. I had absolutely no interest in the game (not really into horror survival), but for $4, sure why not?

Indeed. Its two sins were that it wasn't as good as game as it was hyped up to be, and the initial shafting of PC players when it went from being a PC game to an Xbox exclusive. The latter in particular is where most of the hate comes from.
But, my understanding is that its finally made it to PC and has been enhanced over the xbox version, including full mouse and keyboard support (and configurability).
That's correct. But it came almost 2 years later. No one really likes getting sloppy seconds here.

Doesn't everyone already own that?

Funny how when you do a single player only game right it sells like gangbusters.

What are you on about? Single player is dead. Xbox Two 1080! Colladooty colladooty!

Alan Wake has not made a peep since release until now, when they had it on sale for 90% off in response to the pay-what-you-want Humble Bundle sale... They figured if people were paying $1 for it elsewhere, they'd pay $3 from the source. And looks like they were right!

These people really need to learn to just say "no comment" instead of coming up with bullshit excuses for console exclusivity.

Well I guess they just didn't want to go with: 'This truck full of money just pulled into our driveway with a MS logo on it... Suck it PC gamers!'

If I recall correctly, some stooge from Remedy or MS stated that the game was an Xbox exclusive because it was designed to be played on a couch or something stupid like that. That statement deservedly got a lot of hate. Phil Fish said the same thing regarding Fez, only to eventually port the game to PC as well. These people really need to learn to just say "no comment" instead of coming up with bullshit excuses for console exclusivity.

I found Alan Wake to be immensely entertaining myself. It was very good at setting mood.

Yep. I just pretty much stopped gaming. I still have the game, box, disc, and installation on my very old Windows XP Pro. SP3 machine. :/

I also have not finished World in Conflict, C&C3:KW, Crysis 1, etc.

I do play random Flash games, lots of text based Rbot's Uno and Junkyard (can take up to hours and days since they are turned based and everyone is BUSY), etc. though!

Spectral, you have no excuse.
I have no idea. The problem is free time. I still have Oblivion and didn't get far (still in the sewer).

I expect it to be back shortly, with the GOTY/Complete edition launching this week...

I actually picked it up not too long ago with the $14.95 sale on gamersgate. I wanted it under $20 and that was under $20. Now I'm waiting on the DLC to go on sale.

Alan Wake had one of the most nonsensical plots ever. It was like Stephen King wrote it on a bender.
