With a 1$ goal it also produces completely unusable kicktraq stats... just saying ^^ |

If they wanted to go that route, they could have used indiegogo, which I believe allows what they call "flexible funding".
Just saying "I'll take whatever you give me, but the game will happen either way" isn't really in the spirit of KS, or (IMO) how it was designed to be used.
THAT was actually why I sent it in - I was trying to point out HOW they were doing it, and not because I wanted them to be successful.

The project is already funded, but that was easy, since it began with a goal of one dollar, as the developer admits he will finish the game no matter what, but he also really needs the money. Can't say I'm really excited about the way that was done...

I was skeptical when I saw the $1 KS goal and read the "Spiderman 2 dev wants to make game like Spiderman 2!" However, after watching the video, I think this looks really cool. The dude has some great ideas on stuff to add if he makes his stretch goals. This in Oculus Rift would be a trip. |
