Out of the Blue

My rack of lamb was a success last night. The tricky thing with lamb is how small the window is before it starts to overcook, and I hit medium rare on the nose, which was pretty awesome. And to all of you who pointed out that grilling is actually the more traditional method than the oven, I grant you are correct, but to see your ball-busting and raise it: For those who say grilling would be the most traditional method, I'll point out eating the lamb raw probably pre-dated that. So there.

Maybe the message should have read:

Congrats on the lamb!

I admit, I was being nitpicky with semantics... Embarassed

The Make A Wish Foundation does as much for as many of them as they can - some of the kids' dreams that they help fulfill are just amazing.

That was an incredibly awesome gesture letting the sick boy take a play from scrimmage to the end zone. That would have been a dream come true for me too as a boy. Very very cool.

And more so as a boy that is terminal, I imagine...

But I wonder... What about the million other children that are as well...

Grilling is so limited anyway. If it wasn't chefs would use it as their cooking medium of choice. I'll take a stove/oven over a grill any day of the week. Baking, roasting, braising, sauteing, frying, boiling, et al. are things you can't do - at least well, or efficiently - on a grill.

Or not.

Edit: That DND image is good. And that how actors cry on cue is hella funny!
