Ships Ahoy - Battlefield 3 End Game

Battlefield 3 End Game is now available for Windows (and Xbox 360), offering the latest expansion for Battlefield 3, the latest installment in DICE's military shooter series (at least until tomorrow's official Battlefield 4 announcement). End game is sold individually, or as part of a season's pass. Here's word:
Battlefield 3: End Game delivers some of the most high-speed warfare to date across four vast maps. Race through enemy lines using the new dirt bike, bringing speed and agility to the Battlefield, or fight back aerial assaults with new lightweight AA vehicles. Coordinate lightning fast attacks and defenses in the return of the classic Capture The Flag game mode. In the skies, the new dropship introduces the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports.

See I find TDM and Squad DM a lot of fun, so to each their own.
To me the infantry combat is the best I've seen since CS: Source.
I only wish they had a last man standing mode ala CS

Hunting down snipers was never fun, ever. In any game, ever. Until BF3 came and made sniping a trade-off, Zoom in too long = get spotted, have lower mag sight = aim is not 100% accurate.

What you call dumbing down balances out a class that shouldn't even be in the game. Snipers who play the RECON class as CAMP THERE class add nothing to BF3. A good recon spots, marks and plays with squad. A bad recon runs around with a sniper rifle on some hill 2km from the objective, puts his spawn beacon there and then wonders why the squad mates rage quit his squad.

Also, these snipers usually don't get a single kill during the game. Because hitting anything at 2km is hard And if they were good shots, they wouldn't be sitting on a hill.

I used to be a huge fan of the BF games but they have failed to expand over the years. The mission sizes should be huge by this day and age. There's just too much going on with 64 players in such small zones.

Also, the game has been completely dumbed down. The scope glare is a perfect example of this fact. What ever happened to days when PC MP games were hard? Hunting down snipers used to be challenging. The more times they would kill us, the more satisfying it would be when we finally located them and then killed them. Now, all one needs to do is look in their general direction and you can see a giant scope glare shining at you. That's just lame.

I sure hope that the scope glare s gone in BF4, but I'm sure Dice will just add more dumbed down "features" too suck in more noobs who don't want a proper challenge.

More scripted boringness. The opfor guys in this vid look an awful lot like the opfor in BF3's MP. I would have loved it if the single player was more like Ghost Recon (the original) where you could choose your own path and they had real AI. That in these pretty environments would be amazing.

I uninstalled BF3 a while ago for a few reasons such as Origin, EA support, and cheating. I haven't really kept up with the addons, have any actually been worth it?

With BF4 soon to be announced (already?), this is intentionally ironic DLC naming from EA it would seem.

Gamestop has leaked screens and as expected it literally looks more of the same.

I really hope they go back to the huge ass maps of Battlefield 2 and Armored Kill. Infantry combat is just so terrible and boring.

Ahh, I thought CTF might actually have a chance, but of course the shining BF3 community managed to ruin it.

CTF matches end up being 80% of each team spawn camping each other behind the enemy flag, they don't even attempt to capture the flag, they just sit in the back of the spawn and kill people as they come in. Don't know if I should blame the dumbass people who play this game or the dumbass developer who made the game and allow this type of spawn camping behavior.

That is CTF, period. I can't think of one game that has made CTF enjoyable. Only way CFT has been fun is 32man max, playing with 3 friends.

I actually like End Game, its not great but decent, and i'm 100% an infantry player (i have like 200K score from vehicles and over 8M as just medic). It's no B2K or Aftermath but its not Armoured Kill either (AK was utter crap).

Yeah, endgame just felt like rocket spam to me. Vehicles with rockets shooting everywhere, javelin's locking onto motorbikes everywhere, it was just an explosive mess. Aftermath and CQB were my favorites.

Hmm I like the maps in conquest, ctf really depends on how much teamwork is taking place. The rush mode for the maps are lacking.

anyways

Aftermath was the best by far. End Game was disappointment. The vehicles ruin CTF, and the maps are horrible for Conquest since they were really made for CTF.
