Tonight! Nice that Steam unlocked it w/o having to close/reopen the client.

Yeah okay enjoying it quite a bit, damn well darker than the last two as well. Two hours in or so, but it's fun without a doubt, only complaint so far no quicksave system that I've been able to find. |

Otherwise great game, I'm going back there now. There was a steam thread where someone said they modified it (and provided screenshots) but the consensus was it only worked in the menus, and while playing the game.
Either they'll patch it, or (more likely) someone in the community will fix it. Thats both sad and hilarious, because pretty sure BOTH of the original bioshock games got slammed for POV on the PC, and both of them they ended up patching them quite a while after release (and after community released tools to adjust it). |

FOV is adjustable in the graphics settings (don't forget to scroll down to see the rest of them)
It's truly a beautiful ALIVE game that alot 'darker' then it appears. Also there appears to be some sort of memory leak. |

Well I broke down and bought it, since my buddy is buying my xcom an bioshock keys which means the game cost me a grand total of $5(minus the gmg cashback). Guess we'll see in a few hours how it pans out. |

Iirc, console hackers have been playing the game for at least a week, so I'm guessing User Reviews won't be empty for long. |

The opening and last third of Bioshock are great, the 1st 2/3 though is sort of underwhelming. You have to kind of invest in it a bit, as well as making sure to play in a way you find fun, because there are a lot of unfun powers etc.
Bioshock 2 is funner at the beginning than 1 was, but it runs out of steam even faster imo, and the story doesn't have as much weight either. It was a fun diversion when I didn't have other stuff to play but no more than that.
Hopefully the curve on Infinite is better - I like that it starts out in a much more alive world before going to hell. That could help make the early sections more engaging, and add weight to the later ones.
But yeah, I'll wait till the price comes down and I go through my backlog. No reason to buy games full price anymore. |

We've talked at length here on Bluesnews about how low the standards of reviews are these days, and how pre-release reviews are the worst of the lot. I know Bioshock has a passionate following and we'd all love for it to be great but let's wait for some gameplay experience and real word of mouth before accepting these incredible early scores! |

Not to sound like a Cutter though, Infinite looks - infinitely better I'm confused - are you saying you played Bioshock 2 first? Lol, No. I'm playing through Bioshock atm, slowly. However, I know that Bioshock 2 involves being the Big Daddy and that appeals to me to more. I might just put the series off for a bit until my interest peaks again. |

A free copy of Xcom to give to my brother is a nice bonus, though (Steam pre-order deal). GMG just added that too. You get $14 or $15 (depending on if you do cash back or future credit), bioshock 1, x-com, and one extra game (from this list Spec Ops: The Line , Civilization V, BioShock 2, Mafia II or The Darkness II). And you get a key for the browser pre-order game bonus Industrial Revolution.

Basically the only thing you don't get compared to steam deal is the TF2 items, instead you get an additional free game.
They also have a 20% off voucher for the season pass GMG20-FDSCL-AQQXD
I will likely wait until the price comes down, but all in all this is a pretty good pre-order deal. Season pass discount doesn't work it looks like. |

Edit: My bad, the season pass is on a small sale already, and the voucher doesn't work on it.
