Battlefield 4 Trailer Tease

A Battlefield tweet points to a post on Vine with a teaser for an upcoming Battlefield 4 video reveal. Word is: "Straight from the video editing suite: Prepare 4 Battle - 03.27! This sneak peek now, more soon." EA has announced plans to officially unveil the next installment in the military shooter series on March 26th, which seems the likely date to expect the full trailer to debut, but maybe it will be the 27th instead. Thanks TweakTown.

People who are bringing up problems in any manner even remotely constructive are doing it because they like (or want to like) the game. They definitely don't hate the game. Haters don't point out flaws, so much as just.. well, hate.

Take me, for example. I hate EA, and I hate the Battlefield series. I have nothing good to say about either.

As far as I'm concerned, EA can suck a giant donkey dick and the Battlefield games are the worst crocks of shit that ever masqueraded as games.

The only 2 Battlefield games I ever had the misfortune of purchasing were the first one and BC2. The latter only because my friend suckered me into it. I played a few matches and quickly uninstalled. I would have burned the disks, (yes, burned, as in with a fire) but I bought a digital copy.

Coming from Battlefield Bad Company 2, I thought the netcode in BF3 has improved a lot. I honestly have tons of fun in the original game and just bought the premium pack. For all of you who said the netcode sucks, perhaps you should just find a better server to play on?

It's still pretty poor, it's not uncommon to be shot after getting into cover due to the games overly aggressive predictive code. There's also a lot of jank in the netcode itself, particularly when it comes to giving the client too much control which is a big part of why the multihacks are so ridiculous.

q[If you own the game, then stop bitching about it and just enjoy it... or is that too hard for you?
Errr, just owning a game doesn't mean the person can necessarily love the game, it really depends on the quality. I thought this would be self evident. Talking about things you dislike in a game isn't "hate" either, the liberal misuse of that word on the internet is astonishing these days.

As for cheating, I do occasionally meet one of those that just headshot you from miles away with their machine gun, however that was only a couple times and not enough to take away the joy I have with the game. So why all the hate? If you own the game, then stop bitching about it and just enjoy it... or is that too hard for you?

Really? You aren't very perceptive then, I've only played 600 hours and would guess that I've run in to 40-50 at the least. The sad part is that I suspect there are a lot of really really terrible players using hacks, the hacks bring them up to a level that seems normal, but there are definitely no shortage of hackers in BF3, this coming from a guy with over 3.00 KD ratio and 800+ SPM playing as infantry.

BF3 is a such a failure regarding a true successor it's not even funny -

- Netcode = Shit. If you don't acknowledge it, or at least notice it, theres no hope for you.

- Nerfed Gameplay. Horrible fish bowl sized maps. Health Regen, even on vehicles like 3 seconds after being hit. Lame. Removed
VOIP, no commander, and you can spawn on any squad mate and not just lead. So much for tatics, RUSH!. All vehicles have infinate ammo, and you can't run up in any enemy's base as it's out of bounds and you die, which is tied in with class nerfing removing special forces etc... You don't have to monitor clip/magazine consumption, just reload over and over. Unlimited sprint. No cross squad communication and the game feels more like Team Death Match with no one working together. There's more but you get the point.

- No Mod tools or ability to host your own dedicated server. They took away the pride of running your own server and the community making maps and whole other mod's. Project Reality, AIX, etc...

- Premium and Micortransactions. WTF. You had people that pre-ordered the limited edition of the game and just because they didnt pay for the rest of the DLC up front and buy premium they are punished by not being able to connect to premium servers. Customer Service? Also, selling unlocks? Whore out much EA?

- Announcement of BF4 before BF3 was completed? Signs of what's to come I guess. EA/Dice know that COD's engine is getting dated and they are ready to step in, take over, and cash in on the yearly event.

I understand you must make changes for the game to be entertaining on a console but jeez. I really wish they would have made the Medal of Honor series the COD clone and left Battlefield for the PC. It looks like ARMA 3 is the only PC focused FPS option now
You've got a ton of valid points there, especially the lack of true teamwork and some things getting dumbed down, but damn, I still have fun.

And if you think a company like EA is going to release mod tools for their game so they can increase it's longevity.. HA!

This seems to be the overall consensus issue with most new multiplayer games these days. I wish they would focus as much on netcode as they do all the eye candy.

I've really enjoyed BF3. A few things I want to see for BF4:

- Dynamic weather (rain as per the teaser pic, mud causing vehicle tracking problems, etc)
- No blue tint
- VOIP
- BATTLE RECORDER - this is huge for me. So many epic moments lost because DXstory isn't running :/ Even from a marketing point of view, I don't see how DICE/EA wouldn't push to have this in BF3, better be there for BF4.

I've come across a few hackers in my 200+ hours in BF3 obviously, but if you play on servers with active admins over the age of 10 they generally aren't a problem.

Looking forward to some details, next gen consoles might actually "help" (or hurt less) BF4 on the PC.

There are a lot of elements they streamlined like this that bug me. A plane shouldn't be able to whisk away for 5 seconds and start 'healing'. I try to take the good with the bad but you have a lot of good points about parts of the game that really suck.

I don't think there is nearly as much cheating as people think, sure there is cheaters, there is in every game. but as far as the cheating ruining everyone elses experience, there is very few. just a lot of butthurt people looking for an excuse instead of looking at what they're doing wrong.

This is dumb. You with a ridiculous kneejerk reaction to a very common complaint repeated often by experienced players and longtime fans of the game, unironically claiming that other people are kneejerk reacting without even a single observation of their interactions. This isn't the first Battlefield game with cheaters, people know how to spot and deal with them when they have the tools. There were a lot more cheaters at release when the game was more popular, there are less now.

Yeah, those guys sitting at the spawn point spraying the heavy machine gun and headshotting you instantly as you spawn are just good at the game - way more skill than I can hope for!

never seen it, but i have seen people with damage mods and aimbot headshotting everything in the server with a pistol, then they get banned 5 mins later. thats so rage inducing that i'm never gonna touch another BF product again, sigh.
