Just Cause 3 Reveal at E3? [Feb 27, 2013, 8:33 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Avalanche Studios' Christofer Sundberg tweets about an Instagram photo that looks an awful lot like Just Cause protagonist Rico Rodriguez, adding the hashtag #e32013 to a subsequent tweet. It's widely assumed that Avalanche is working on Just Cause 3, and this suggests a third installment in the open world action series will be announced at this year's E3. Of course, a year ago Sundberg stated they would announce a licensed game at E3 2012, but this announcement never came to pass, so maybe he's playing with us, you know... just 'cause. Thanks VG247.

Ever grapple a vehicle under a chopper and try to fly it? Did that for about a hour one night just swinging it back and forth, had whatever i was towing flip up and over the chopper a few times. Was a real pain to get it over some of the mountains but managed.

I can't get 100%, I have some gun parts that are glitched.....so bummed.
Multiplayer or Co-op would make me pre-order asap. Would be alot fun.

Rico Rodriguez grandfather in a 30's Crimson Skies setting ? With a Jetpack?
Which can only be used for longer times for slowing descent (like the parachute), but has nitro bursts for jumping to locations quickly (like the grappling hook, but in an arc you can aim).
And like Interstate '76 / Crimson Skies combining looted vehicle parts into custom ground & air vehicles with handling dependent on parts used.
One can only dream..

So being a vehicle geek and Just Cause 2 fan I looked at the image. It appears Rico is jumping from an airship, probably similar to the one in JC2. However this image is definitely not from JC2 because of the other aircraft we can see. It appears to be the tail end of a fictionalized V-22 Osprey, an airplane that was not in Just Cause 2.

I'd like to see some development on the open-world theme, such as a dynamic campaign. The tendency towards wanting cinematic (what an awful word) makes this unlikely but maybe we'll see some progress here.
