I bet we all got troves of video games... Explain why we haven't gone off the deep end? Discuss.
There are just a lot of things a killer does, that the rest of us do to.
Goes for potential killers too. 1 % of the human population are psychopathic, but there aren't 3 million serial killers running around.

But if we can't blame videogames, then people have to look for real answers. And those are tough answers that society doesn't want to hear.
Much easier to light up the torches, hoist the pitchforks and blame videogames.

Cant argue with you on that point, but they will grab whatever they can in the heat of the moment. That includes sharp objects.
The same day as Sandy Hook, there was crazy guy in China who attacked a preschool. Since he didn't have access to a gun, he used a knife. 20 people injured, but no one died. Certainly we can agree that these things aren't the same and shouldn't be treated equally.

Until a new study comes out next week which says they do.
Yep,
Video games don’t cause violence, only people that have no sense of what’s right or wrong do.
Just like blaming the gun for killing someone, the gun didn’t pull the trigger its self, the person wielding it did. All of these mechanisms are just an outlet that people use as an excuse to blame rather than looking into the real issue.

The things that killers have in common with one another, it's curious that they are stuck on videogames being even partially the cause. I would like to dub this, "The Coulter Phenomenon" - people don't REALLY think these things, there are just plenty of people that will say them (true or not) to sell books, get on TV to promote their books, etc, to get rich. End of story.
Having said that, access to a gun in a moment of passion is not a good thing. Despite what the NRA would have you think, there are more girlfriend vs boyfriend, wife vs husband arguments daily than home invasions in a year; ie, guns are more likely to be used in a situation where they shouldn't be used than one where they should.
(that wasn't intended to be a factual statement, btw, to quote senator Jon Kyl. Just a common sense assumption to make a point.)
