Last I heard the stats you can see in the steam client (ie, the tab top sellers) are flowing stats andper profitper revenue, not per sale. (ie, how much money did a game make, not how many copies sold) and it's most definitely not ranking how many copies a game sold. It ranks how much money a game made compared to everyone else per day. Or per hour (not quite sure, but most definitely not per week)

I looked up some names here on Steam using the public profile search, what I consider the biggest defenders of the game on the forums here played it less than 12 hours online and haven't touched it in days. I doubt they would admit it but I don't think there is much to the games multiplayer.

I've been on the fence with Colonial Marines. After watching a ton of walkthroughs, I can see some of the things people are complaining about but, and perhaps it's just me, the multiplayer seems pretty solid. Even with the lack of dedicated servers, it still seems like there could be worse ways to kill a spare hour or two.
I love the Aliens franchise and tolerated the later AvP games (with exception of the last one which was horrid); the first two AvP games were fun.
Still, is Colonial Marines THAT bad? Is multiplayer fun at all on the PC?

I'm pretty sure Bethesda will upgrade it to a GOTY edition by the time it depreciates to less than $20. So a $9.99 Skyrim may be even further off than it seems now. Like post-TES VI far off. And rightly so!![]()

Sigh... once again Skyrim, the base game, is in the top 10. I don't even think it's on sale this week.
Humanity, stop conspiring against the $9.99 Skyrim sale!![]()

I finally buckled under and bought BL2 when it was 50% off. When I've played enough to offer an opinion and it's the topic of conversation again, I'll do so.

Someone dug up this comedy earlier: How Gearbox got the jump on the next gen in Aliens Colonial Marines
Yes well done Randy, getting the jump on the next generation with your amazing Aliens deferred rendering.

Aliens: Colonial Marines, so disappointing. That game could have been soooo good!

Torchlight 2 is on top right now... because of Sale... so you know it's not a weekly stat ^^

The Top Sellers list on Steam isn't a very good metric for trends... I looked right now and it's at #9. Would be nice to know exactly how that ranking works.

Even so, Dawnguard isn't anywhere near Dragonborn's coolness. Dragonborn is fantastic.
