Oh Batman Arkham Asylum!

Oh, it still needs GFWL. Pass.

(Hate that shit.)

Yep, every time I see it on sale, I flip over to the support threads and see the issues people have. And then never buy it.

Fuck em.

It's very unlikely that they will drop GFWL at any time. You really shouldn't skip any of the Batman games because of GFWL, these games are absolutely amazing and worth of "overlooking" the GFWL crap.
Besides, it seems to work better in Asylum than in Arkham City, for whatever reason. That said, I didn't have any problems with GFWL playing through Asylum & City, it signs you in automatically and then doesn't bother you again.
I'm more annoyed with the way Darksiders II handles similar stuff, where it wants me to sign up for a useless account at the beginning of the game every time which I happily cancel every time, but I get re-asked again and again. This is annoying as it takes a lot of time to get rid of the dialog again (and the dialog to show up in the first place), for whatever reason. GFWL on the other hand operates mainly in the background and won't bother you again if you don't invoke it (if everything goes right).

Never heard of Alpha Prime, but the preview video on Steam is hilarious in how the bad guys just stand there looking straight ahead when you run up to them and shoot them in the side of the head.
I bought a copy of it from ebay a few years ago for $5 or something. The story is confusing but the combat and graphics were good at the time. The voice acting is bad

For $1.25, eh? how bored are you

I think it peaked at 12m, don't recall when that was, year or two ago?

Yeah, my memory is sketchy but I think it was 12m maybe 2 years ago, then it dropped to over ten million during the latter end of Cataclysm, and now it's dropped slightly again.

I'd love to know what actual WoW subs are these days. I'm amazed they're not giving all the clients away at this point.

There was an investor's report the other week, and as of December 31st 2012, it was 9.6 million players. It's a drop from over ten million, but apparently that's mainly in China, and the EU/US have remained pretty stable.

I've avoided WoW for eight+ years.. $5 is tempting, even if for only 30 days.
