Age of Wonders 3 Revealed [Feb 06, 2013, 10:00 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Dutch studio Triumph is reviving their Age of Wonders series of TBS/RPGs with plans to release Age of Wonders 3 this autumn, according to Eurogamer. The report is a bit vague, saying an OS X version is also planned, and "may" coincide with a Windows edition, and it's possible a tablet edition will also be made. There's also a bit of mystery about who is behind this, as there will not be a Kickstarter, and they are planning on unveiling their "big partner" for this in the future.

yeh i always considered this the best HOMM style game by far

Very, very good news. With this, Eador, and perhaps Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes, this year might be a very good year for fantasy 4X games.
For some reason, probably because I'm getting old, I mixed that up with age of mythology. Really enjoyed that game, never played this one.
The preview trailer doesn't show a whole lot, but this has been my favorite turn-based series since the original AoW. Top notch, in my book. It will probably be on my pre-order list when they give some additional doo-dad. Wiz portraits or some such.
