“Bringing The Cave to life has been something I’ve wanted to do for almost thirty years,” added creator Ron Gilbert. “Being able to work with the amazing creative team at Double Fine, and with the strong support of SEGA, I’ve been able to make a longtime pet project a reality.”

You're aware that Sega owns Creative Assembly, makers of the PC-exclusive Total War series, right? You know, the series that generally pushes the latest PC hardware to its limits? |

Yeah, Strike Suit Zero is getting a lot of surprising negative reviews. Eurogamer gave it a 3 out of 10. Ouch. |

Just checked steam(PC) and it says 12 more hrs until it is unlocked. I guess the announcement is accurate--it's "available now for download"-- but they forgot to mention you just can't play it yet. It's not really "open for exploration."
More about that here http://www.doublefine.com/forums/viewthread/8426/P0/
Gilbert says Steam is wrong and he throws the switch https://twitter.com/grumpygamer/status/294140528038137856
Bottomline there was a f up somewhere but Gilbert says 4pm PST today in his twit.
The reviews I read aren't raving about it but they aren't hating it either.

Reviews are pretty harsh on Zero. Cave seems generally more positive. |

Is this a beta or is it going up for sale in the next day or two?

Yay! Now I have something to look forward to after work. I'm not really a fan of side scrollers but I definitely give a hybrid from DF and Ron Gilbert a go. |
