'But what does 'optional' mean?! It's video games, playing them at all is 'optional'! Sticking a broom handle up your ass is 'optional', doesn't mean I wouldn't really like to do it!' -Yahtzee

The End of an Era: Intel's Desktop Motherboard Business to Ramp Down Over Next 3 Years.

That's really sad but what I see from Intel NUC excites me. The first gen has some design flaws but I'd love to get a powerful little box with a 30W draw and an external videocard, assuming they can solve most of the latency issues (my experience with Thunderbolt is nonexistent so no clue how it is in this regard).

It could be a PC renaissance in some ways.

Playing: Super Mario Odyssey, Wolfenstein II, SNES Classic
Watching: An Inconvenient Sequel, The Orville, Star Trek Voyager
