Seems pretty straightforward to me. They intend to sell this one on consoles. The number of people using a gamepad on PC is tiny I imagine compared to mouse & keyboard, so by focusing on gamepad only gameplay, the only thing I can surmise is that they're aiming for a console release.

I like how they say "If you want to use the mouse, go play the first game". Yeah... the game that was so borked and broken they publicly apologized and promised to give us the new game for free if we bought the first one.

That really explains a lot. I thought the mouse was just buggy. I kept wondering why I couldn't aim at shit. I think I got about 5 minutes in before I moved on. Also, the new and improved graphics look just as shitty as the first game.

You can no longer pick and choose spells, you get stuck with a spec (entropy etc). You have keys for aim up/aim down (angle shots) basically pushing you to use a controller. The world/townbuilding bit is pretty much nothing like the original either.

In short, I played it for about 10 minutes then stopped, wasn't worth wasting time on.
