Humble Indie Bundle 7

The Humble Bundle Website now offers Humble Indie Bundle 7, a collection of four indie games and their soundtracks, some DLC, and an indie game documentary at a pick-your-own price. There are also two more games and soundtracks to be had for those who choose to beat the average price for the bundle. Here's word:
Humble Indie Bundle 7 is a pay-what-you-want promotion featuring six epic indie games and one evocative, feature-length documentary. This includes:

  • the award-winning shadowy platform puzzler Closure by Eyebrow Interactive, making its Linux debut
  • the stylish 2D side-scrolling brawler Shank 2 by Klei Entertainment, making its Mac and Linux debut
  • the deliciously twisted top-down action RPG shooter The Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC, making its Linux debut
  • the creative and colorful platform puzzler Snapshot by Retro Affect, making its Linux debut
  • the beloved feature-length documentary, Indie Game: The Movie by BlinkWorks

If a bundle buyer pays over the average purchase price for the bundle, they’ll also get:

  • the vibrant action RPG/tower defense extravaganza Dungeon Defenders (plus a ton of DLC!) by Trendy Entertainment, making its Linux debut
  • and the old school-inspired 3D dungeon crawler Legend of Grimrock by Almost Human Games, making its Mac and Linux debut!

And can you believe it? Dungeon Defenders uses Unreal Engine 3 and is running native on Linux! This signifies a fantastic leap forward for Linux gaming, and we're so excited to be debuting that progress right here in the bundle!

I picked up a four-pack of Dungeon Defenders for me and a few co-workers not expecting anything I think during last Christmas' sale, and absolutely fell in love with it. I would highly recommend not "boosting" or getting gifts from advanced people, because the game is SUPER fun when you level up and get your own loot. It is incredibly easy for a very high level person to give you an item that will make 99% of the game trivial.

This could very well be the best LAN party game I can think of. Highly recommend it!

Meh, Dungeon Defenders got old pretty quickly for me. Then again, I hate tower defense so your mileage may vary.

I as enjoying Dungeon Defenders for a while, and then it hit this phase where every single day/every other day I'd log onto steam and it'd the game would download anywhere from 600 megs to a gig of data. It seemed like whenever I *thought* about playing the game, it was updating and downloading data.

I finally got so pissed off after 2 weeks of this (saturating more limited pipelines when I wasn't at home) that I finally uninstalled it and refused to ever install it again.

In a perfect world this would be a lesson to developers: While too few updates is no good, daily fucking updates that are half a gig or bigger suck ass.

I already have Grimrock, The Binding of Isaac and watched Indie Game the Movie on Netflix streaming. I have Shank from one of their previous bundles, but I haven't played it. I hear it's good, so maybe I'll play it and Shank 2 some time.

I basically picked it up just for Snapshot and Closure. I still paid above the average even though I already have Grimrock, and Dungeon Defenders doesn't really interest me.

Seeing as you can pay $1 for the bundle without the bonus content, I don't see a reason to ever skip one of these.

I already own LoG and DD but will likely pay the $6.50 or whatever for the DD DLC. However, what I'm most interested is the other titles as many are SteamPlay compatible. Nice little games to play on the airplane using my MacBook Pro.

I already own a couple of these but the others make it worth it, particularly all the DLC for DD. Always keep meaning to go back to that game, haven't given it a fair shake yet.

Kinda cussing myself for buying Legend of Grimrock in the Steam Autumn sale (especially since I've hardly played it yet), but at least this means the devs had money from me as well as the charity in the Bundle.

Legend of Grimrock by itself already makes this worth buying.

Huh, I hadn't noticed that it included the documentary. I was going to pass on it (I own most of the stuff, including dun def and all its DLC), but maybe now I'll pick it up just for that.

If you haven't picked up Dungeon Defenders yet, this is a fantastic deal because it includes ALL the game's DLC. The complete pack on Steam sells for $50. Although, even that is worth it for the dozens if not hundreds of hours you could play that thing. Oh, this bundle has other games, too! Yay.
