Also by adding two extra sets of games to the bundle, they generated 3 news items on three different days rather than one if they'd just thrown them all up at the outset. Exactly. They got this additional story right here, didn't they? |

Nothing stopping you from getting it for gifts
For instance, I recall a blues news gifting it forward type of group that happened around christmas last year You end up with 5 steam keys (one is the main package, one is SR3, one is the w40k game, 1 is titan quest, and 1 is DLC for red faction), so you could spread that to 5 people if needed depending on what they have. |

I'd say you did it the "right" way then, back when the games were priced higher so THQ could earn more money. I had most of these too, but wanted SR3. This bundle is a fire sale. So sad. I hope THQ can pull out of it. |

Awesome deal gets more awesome, awesome version of the game, but as was mentioned below...it does not include any of the expansion packs. Woops. It looks like you are right. I was on the DoW Gold page. Not to be mistaken with Dawn of War Platinum. Sheesh. Well, I'm confused then, because if I log in and look at the Gold page (that includes Winter Assault), it tells me I own it, therefore Winter Assault too. In fact, I can't find a separate page for Winter Assault other than the demo, as Steam only seem to sell it as part of the Gold version.
Edit: So from some reading I've done, Winter Assault should show up separately in my Steam library if I have it, which it doesn't. Since you can't buy Winter Assault on it's own on Steam (or even REbuy the Gold edition, since Steam thinks you own it already), that seems a bit dumb, if you ask me. Folk are leaving messages etc on the site, I just hope they add Winter Assault before it's over.

That's how the Humble Bundles always work. Have you never bought one before? (if not, you've missed out on an incredible amount of gaming goodness). Nope. First time. Ah well, now I know.
I was under the impression most "Humble Bundles" were just as-is and this adding-additional-games-as-it-goes-on was just something THQ were doing because they're trying to get more and more people to give them "donations".
But if this is a regular tactic all Humble Bundles do, then it seems rather strange. Why not just include all the games at the outset? |

Soulstorm had some technical issues at the time that made it less enjoyable for me (it literally took 2 minutes to load a level or a savegame...), I've been thinking about replaying it on a far more beefy rig and see if that's been alleviated at all.
I played so much Dark Crusade, it was ridiculous. I finished the campaign at least twice with every race, and probably about a dozen times with the Space Marines...

Yeah, some folks are confused about what the Dawn of War GOTY edition is.
From the product description: "This Game of The Year Edition features four new maps unique to this edition, four maps previously only available online and new online features, including Observer Mode, Friends list and Arranged Teams.".
Awesome deal gets more awesome, awesome version of the game, but as was mentioned below...it does not include any of the expansion packs.

According to folks over at steamgifts.com, the THQ bundle Dawn of War key is only the base game, i.e. no Winter Assault, and no Dark Crusade. Don't know anything about the game, so can't say if this is a big deal or not.
As for Titan Quest, think you'd probably want the Immortal Throne expansion, assuming you get these games to play and not just to accumulate. |

You can be sure Activision, EA, Valve and any of the other big names would definitely NOT have done that. So major props to THQ. That's good customer focus right there. I really hope they survive. |

The other 2 are stand alone "expansions" so I can understand why they didn't include them.
I'm also curious as to if titan quest includes immmortal throne. Immortal Throne was also stand alone, so no |
