What was a slap in the face about the Hearthfire DLC? It's 5 bucks and totally optional.
Requiring Hearthfire for all future DLC would be a slap in the face. I don't get the big rage about it.
How about the fact that they devoted their resources towards that (which by the way already exists in mod form), instead of making an actual expansion.

I don't see the unfounded assumption. The first two DLC packs for Skyrim are pretty weak. Thus, he hopes this one has better content in it.
well maybe he picked his words incorrectly or maybe i read too much into it. His words: "not these mod quality size DLC's". I guess you have to ask what he meant by "these". Normally i would assume he meant what was referenced in the article unless he otherwise states. The only thing referenced in the article was the unannounced dlc.
I was referencing the two previous released Skyrim DLC's. As i said, i want a full blown expansion, not short half assed DLC's that most mods can out do.

Dragonborn, huh? Well, that's certainly unique. Luckily there was no indication that you might be this "Dragonborn" character in the main game, so they'll have a fresh perspective to work from.

Gearbox collaborated with Triptych Games again (the ex-3D Realms studio who worked on DNF) for the first BL2 DLC. I fully believe that they threw it together in the past 6, or maybe 8, weeks because it is overall of a noticeably lower quality than the rest of the game. Biggest thing for me was the sloppy terrain work, which may or may not have been the root cause of nasty performance hitches when PhysX is turned up.

I thought the later DLCs for Fallout: New Vegas were pretty good and meaty. If we could get a few like those for Skyrim I'd be OK with that. Now that I think about it the first DLC for F:NV was pretty weak too.

I want a real expansion pack, not these mod quality size DLC's

The unfounded assumptions is strong in this one.
Lets wait for... I don't know.... the DLC to be announced before bashing it shall we
